DIY Light Bulb Vase

What you need:

  • A light bulb (any shape or size will work!)
  • Pliers
  • Gardening wire.

Instructions:

  1. First you need to remove the little silver layer on the bottom of the light bulb.  Work the pliers under the layer to create a little lip, and then you should be able to peel it right off with the pliers.
  2. Now you have to remove the black cap from the bottom of the light bulb. This was the most difficult part for me – you DEFINITELY want to wear safety goggles and be extremely careful, as it is glass.
  3. Once the black glass was removed it was really easy to get the little glass tube and wiring on the inside of the bulb out – I simply tapped it with the pliers and it broke right off.
  4. Add flowers and water, and hang with the gardening wire!

Fitness Tip

Don't skip breakfast. It is important to start up your metabolism. Hunger sets in long before it's time for lunch, so those who haven't had breakfast often reach for snacks that are high in fat or sugar.

Pregnancy Tip

Exercise! Starting now will help you stay in shape during pregnancy, can lower your risk of miscarriage, and has been proven to help reduce labor complications and length.

DIY Colored Soles

Instructions:

  1. Prep your shoes by cleaning the soles with rubbing alcohol, this well help the color stick better.
  1. Prime your shoes with white nail-polish. You can use the nail polish brush, but I suggest getting one a little bit bigger so it goes faster. Once you paint the sole of each shoe, let them dry (should take about 10 minutes).
  1. Clean your brush between colors using nail polish remover, and start painting the soles the color of your choice. You will probably need two coats, yet be sure to let the first coat dry before starting on your second coat.
  1. Let dry for about thirty minutes, just to be safe & you’re done.

Tip

Paint the head of your keys with different nailpolish colors!

DIY Candy Bouquet

What you need:

  • Large, flat chocolate bars (4)
  • Regular-sized candy bars (8)
  • Long, thin dowels
  • Craft foam
  • Packing tape
  • Cupcake wrappers
  • Tissue paper

Instructions:

  1. Trim the craft foam so that it was just the width of the large chocolate bars.
  2.  Lin the bars up around the craft foam and taped them together using clear packing tape. This makes the vase, with the craft foam in the center.
  3. Tape a dowel onto the back of each candy bar.
  4. Gently poke the dowels through a flower-shaped cupcake wrapper and slid it up the dowel until it sat just below the candy bars. This makes the candy bars look like flowers. Each cupcake wrapper must be secured onto the candy bar with a small piece of tape.
  5. Assemble the candy bouquet.
